Pricing & Refund Policy

This page explains, in plain language, how paying for Plesica works: what the paid tiers are, how billing and cancellation work, and when and how you get your money back. It applies to purchases made in the Plesica app (app.plesica.com) and supplements our Terms of Use.

The short version: the core app is free forever · every purchase has a 14-day money-back guarantee · cancelling a subscription is one click in the app and it simply runs out at the end of the paid period. No hoops, no retention scripts.

1. Our pricing

Product How it's billed
Free core Nothing, ever. Unlimited cards, folders and decks, both study modes, offline use, sync, and lossless import/export. It never moves behind a paywall.
Plesica Plus A subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel; the yearly plan is discounted. Includes the AI Scan feature with a monthly AI usage allowance.
Lifetime supporter A single one-time payment. Every Plus feature, for as long as Plesica exists — no renewals, nothing recurring.
AI usage top-up An optional one-time purchase for Plus members who use up the monthly AI allowance — it adds an additional 100% of the monthly usage allowance. The credit never expires.

The exact price in your currency — taxes included where applicable — is always shown in the app before you confirm a purchase, together with the billing period and the renewal date. There are no trials that silently convert into payments, and no prices you only discover at checkout.

2. How billing works

Purchases are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd / Paddle.com Inc.), our merchant of record. Paddle runs the secure checkout inside the app, charges your payment method, applies the correct VAT or sales tax, and emails you the invoice. "Paddle" (or "Paddle.net") is what you will see on your bank statement. Your full card details never reach our servers.

Your current plan, price, renewal date, and stored payment method are always visible on the in-app Subscription screen, where you can also update the card — no emails, no support tickets.

3. Cancelling a subscription

Cancelling Plesica Plus is one click on the Subscription screen in the app — never "contact support", never a phone call, never a retention flow. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: you keep Plus until that date, you are not charged again, and you can undo the cancellation any time before the period ends.

When a subscription ends, nothing happens to your data. Your cards, folders, decks, and progress stay exactly where they are — you simply go back to the free core.

4. Refunds

First purchases — 14-day money-back guarantee. If you buy Plesica Plus or the lifetime supporter tier for the first time and it isn't for you, tell us within 14 days of the purchase and we refund it in full. No forms, no justification needed.

Renewals you didn't mean to pay. If a subscription renewed and you had meant to cancel, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will refund it — we would rather lose a renewal than keep money you didn't want to spend.

AI usage top-ups. A top-up is refundable within 14 days as long as the credit has not been spent. Credit that has already been used to pay for AI processing cannot be refunded, because the underlying cost has been incurred.

How to ask: email support@plesica.com from the address on your account (or reply to the Paddle receipt). Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. This policy is voluntary and applies on top of — never instead of — your statutory rights.

5. Your 14-day withdrawal right (EU)

If you are a consumer in the EU (or a jurisdiction with a similar rule), you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days without giving a reason. Because the paid features start immediately after purchase, you consent at checkout to the service beginning right away; where you have used the service, the law may allow a deduction proportionate to the use. In practice our own guarantee in section 4 is at least as generous — a first purchase within 14 days is simply refunded in full — so you never end up worse off than the statutory minimum.
